What does it mean to DREAM? 5 Simple Steps That Will Impact Your Year

Remember when you were a kid and you would daydream? We used to have the wildest imaginations. I love that childhood innocence of believing that anything is possible; the fearlessness of allowing ourselves to dream and imagine without limits. Then, somewhere along the way, fear sets in, self-doubt trickles into the picture, and we may even be feed narratives that belittle us and diminish our dreams.

Many of that was the adults in our lives projecting their fears and some of it was internalized projection from being misunderstood, underrepresented, and ostracized for being “different.” No matter what shifted the belief for you, it made us hesitate from trusting our gut and listening to the desires of our hearts. 

Nonetheless, I have great news for you! It’s never too late to dream and listen to the whisper of your heart.

Happiness is our birthright. Love is our birthright. Peace is our birthright.

If you’re alive and you have oxygen dancing through your veins, then a fulfilling and joyous life is your birthright and you don’t have to do anything to earn it. By being alive my friend, it is yours. 

So, I want you to dream. I encourage you to do it. As Paulo Coehlo, author of “The Alchemist” says,

“When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you achieve it.” 

Often we’re too afraid to put out what we want because we don’t think we’ll achieve it (fear of failure) or we don’t think it’s possible (lack of belief). 

When we’re disconnected from our truest desires or scared to step into them, we tend to rob ourselves of the opportunity to even see if it’s possible. We rob ourselves of growth, happiness, and fulfilling success. 

That’s why I want you to DREAM-

Discover new possibilities- open your heart and mind to what’s possible

Reassess what you desire- tap into what you want, not what you think you should be doing or what others want for you

Encourage curiosity- be curious and open to learning new things and growing every day

Attract what’s meant for you- when you put out what you desire, you can welcome those things into your life

Make an actionable plan- a dream is one part of it, and a plan and strategies give us the systems to bring the dream to fruition

These 5 simple steps and mindset shifts can change the trajectory of your year. It will help you unlock feelings of uncertainty, doubt, and limiting beliefs.
